Socks (Socky) is an adorable young mix of Shar Pei (check out her small ears) and probably Kimmer Cur as judged from the colors of her coat and general size. She was 9 months old at input and weighed 33 pounds. She is now (5-1-16) about two years old and weighs about 35 lbs. Socks has been spayed and is up to date on her vaccines and tested negative for heart worms. Socks was abandoned by a family in Robbinsville, North Carolina when they moved and saved by a neighbor who was her initial foster. She was house-trained and socialized with her foster's 5 dogs and is sweet and friendly. Socks likes to be outdoors and would require a fenced yard for her protection although she doesn't run off when outside. Her current foster has 2 other dogs (pit bull and Labrador retriever) and she gets along fine with everyone. She is somewhat shy at first but loves to play and likes to sleep on the bed in the arms of her foster and enjoys a few sips of Chardonnay in the afternoon. This is a wonderful dog. If you are interested in providing a home for Socks, please contact Ron Stoessell at 985-630-1613 or at ronstoesssell@gmail.com or her foster Cindy Mulkey at 828-557-4263. Socks was adopted in May, 2018 by a family in Knoxville.
