Here's what the humans have to say about me:
5-6 y/o fearful female, needs fenced-in yard, needs another social dog(s), no apts/condos
Rhonwen is a little cutie pie and another puppy mill survivor. She needs a lot of time and patience to develop trust with humans and would benefit from a calmer home that will allow her to come out of her shell at her own pace. Currently, Rhonwen enjoys being around her fosters and will cautiously approach them for sniffs, but doesn’t allow pets. She is very scared of being handled by people as well–again, it will take time and patience.
Rhonwen loves running around her yard with other doggies and needs at least one other, well-socialized pup at her home to help her feel safe and show her the ropes. She is also great with cats. Rhonwen seems to really like television and will stare at the screen for quite some time! She is crate-trained, but struggling with potty-training and is still very nervous on leash so must have a secure, fenced-in yard to be successful. She also has a bit of a passion for “singing” from time to time.
Rhonwen will be available for adoption once she is more comfortable with people and handling. Her adoption fee will be $275 and include her spay, microchip, heartworm test, vaccinations, de-worming and 6 week professional training course for shy dogs or private, in-home training.
Approved application and home visit required for all Colorado Shiba Inu Rescue dogs. Read about our adoption procedures and complete the adoption application online: http://coloradoshibainurescue.org/?page_id=203
