Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Some would have named me Houdini after the way I was found, but my name is Corbyn, which is much more appropriate because I’m such a gentleman. It was a stormy, yucky day in Texas and this nice guy saw me running down the street by the dog boarding facility where he works. Obviously he works with dogs all day and has a big, loving heart, so he took me inside to dry me off and help me locate my family. Well, the chain around my neck that I was dragging on the ground really threw him off. How did I get loose from a chain? Nobody knows and nobody ever will. For days, the staff at the facility tried to find where I came from expecting it to be somewhere in the general area, but nobody responded to the signs. Guess I didn’t belong on a chain because now I’m available for adoption and these people promise to give me a big comfy bed inside instead of a big, heavy chain under a tree.
The second day of my “new” life, they took me to the vet and he said I was about 12-18 months old and 48 pounds. I’m a little bit skinny, so my New Year’s Resolution is to gain 5-10 pounds to be at my ideal size. To add to the mystery of my arrival at the boarding facility, I was already neutered and did not have heartworms, so at some point I was taken care of.
My breed is as mysterious as my rescue story, but they say I’m a Shepherd/Husky mix. None of that really matters because I’m just super handsome and my eyes are amazing. My brown eye is spectacular, but my blue eye is absolutely stunning. I am guessing that people will stop my new owners just to talk about how unique I am! You’ll probably want to add an extra 15 minutes to our daily walks for socializing with all of our new friends.
At the facility and the vet clinic, I got along with all of the other dogs I met just fine. I’m good with dogs, kids and all people. It’s pretty clear that I’m a smart guy too because I got off of that heavy chain and found my way right into a facility that helps dogs all day long. I’m super, friendly, I love to ride in the car and with a little training, I could be the running partner you’ve been looking for. I’m a calm guy, like to play nicely with others, I enjoy walking on my leash and I’m very good at it.
Overall, I’m just a great guy and my new friends say “he’s just an easy kind of dog to love and have in the family. If you need an easy going, fun loving new furry family member with stunningly good looks, look no further. Join Team Corbyn today!
Corbyn’s adoption fee is $150 if adopted locally in Houston. Corbyn is also available for out of state adoption in which his adoption fee is $450 to cover the cost of his airline flight, his travel kennel, comfy travel bed and his required health documents issued by his vet.
