Meet Daphne! This beautiful pup was taken in by a family who cares for dogs when they saw her being given away at 6 weeks old in the Walmart parking lot. She is now 6 months old and ready to find her forever family. She is obviously a lot of golden but the light colored eyes are supposedly from being mixed with weimaraner. Here is what her foster mom says about her:
Daphne is one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met. Her tail is always wagging and she is very curious. She loves to play! Takes all of the toys out of the basket multiple times a day. She is potty trained and is doing well with the crate (only whimpers when first put in there, but sleeps through the night in it). She is definitely still a puppy and I've caught her trying to chew on dog beds, pillows, etc, but she responds well to correction. Still needs work on basic manners, but she is already jumping on the couch less and is responding to "off". Would do great in a home with another active dog. Probably should not go to a home with an older dog because she does play rough and she is persistent. She might not be great with little kids because she has no concept of personal space and would easily knock them down.
If you are interested in this gorgeous baby girl, please go to our website for adoption info and to apply. She will go fast!
