Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Imagine being rejected not once but twice.
Penny's original owners had her for just over a year before the teenagers who were supposed to care for her lost interest and became busy with other things, so she was sent to live with a coworker.
She thought she had found a new real, permanent home, but it was shortlived. Only three days after arriving, she made the mistake of barking to get the 7 year old son's attention. He responded by locking himself in his room and refusing to come out.
Even though she had been around kids her whole life and was always great with them, her new owners decided to give in to the child and force Penny to leave everything behind again to find a new family.
Now Penny is alone and confused..... yet she'll greet you with a happily wagging tail and eagerly lick your hand. Dogs are always more forgiving than humans.
Penny is an 18 month old Black Lab mix. She is already housebroken and knows a couple basic commands, and she's eager to learn more. She loves people and other dogs.
You can meet her at the Adoption Center Monday through Saturday 1pm to 7pm. She has not yet been spayed, but of course that will be done BEFORE she goes home with a new family. In the meantime, you can come meet her and reserve her for adoption. She can then go home with you in just a few days after her spay.
