My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gunner was sadly dropped off in the middle of the night with 8 foot of heavy chain hanging from his collar. His rabies tag identified his owner, but that man denied it was his dog! We concluded that Gunner had broken free from his tether one too many times for the owner who had given up on this gorgeous guy. We are hoping to turn Gunner's sadness into joy by finding him a home where nobody ever tries to tie him up again. He is a strong dog, but is fairly respectful when we walk him once he realizes there's a human attached to his lead. He gets pretty excited and really needs room to run. He would make a great pet for a family with kids that know how to get out of his way when he's running so they don't get knocked over or for someone who wants an athletic partner.
