Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweet Tina is a shy girl, but ready to begin her new life with a loving family. Her friends say “she just wants to be someone’s dog”. She is a gorgeous red Labrador/Golden Retriever mix at 55 pounds. She’s just about 2 ½ years old, but landed in a shelter and stayed there for several months before our rescue group met her and knew that we were going to help her to find her forever family and the happiness that she deserves.
Docile and sweet are two perfect descriptions for Tina. After living in a shelter for 4 months, she is doing very well adjusting to life “on the outside”. She is still a bit timid, probably from the experiences that she’s had thus far that landed her in the shelter, but each and every day, we see improvement and progress in her behavior and personality. She is a true gem and super loving once she gains the trust of her new human companions. We are absolutely thrilled that we were able to take her into our program and offer her a chance at a really wonderful life with a loving, patient and compassionate family.
She is house trained and kennel trained already. She really enjoys the doggy pools at her boarding facility. She’s started taking long walks and does very well on the leash, but sometimes needs a bit of confidence building while walking around unfamiliar territory or things that are new to her. Car rides are one of Tina’s favorite activities with the cool wind running through her fur and around her cute little ears. Tina really enjoys a calm, relaxed atmosphere so she’s interested in finding a family that doesn’t have too much chaos going on. She would be an excellent addition to a family with older children, but younger ones may be a bit overwhelming at first. She would also enjoy having a doggy companion that is on her same level as far as energy and sweetness go. We would like to find Tina a family that is willing to give her the time, space and love that she wants, but also allow her to acclimate a bit slower than a dog that hasn’t had her experiences.
Tina is healthy and although a bit timid, she is ready to find a forever family and start her new life. Tina is spayed, current on all of her vaccinations and microchipped. She is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. Her adoption fee is $150 if adopted in the Houston area. She is also available for out of state adoption too and can be flown to your area via United Airline’s Pet Safe Program. If adopted outside of Houston, her adoption fee is $450, which will cover the adoption fee, airline flight, travel crate, kennel bed and required health papers to travel.
If you are interested in adding a sweet lovebug to your pack, Tina is a perfect fit. If you are interested in learning more about her, please email us at adoptions@reggiesfriends.org or if you think she will be a perfect addition to your family, please go to our website www.reggiesfriends.org to download an adoption application.
