Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Age 3.5 years (3rd photo in right corner is BB's adorable photo before full grown)
Female - spayed
Weight - approx. 65-70 lbs
Breed: Blue Heeler mix.
Temperament – Very happy, active, loves being around people and loves playing with other dogs. She enjoys lots of outdoor (fenced) yard time, chasing squirrels that she’ll never catch and chewing on a large Kong, her most favorite toy. BB is very loving and enjoys being close to her humans. She will sleep
right next to her favorite human in bed if you let her, and is always aware of where everyone is. She can be left unattended but tend get bored/anxious and chew her bed or blanket. She is more successful and less apt to chew if kenneled during human absences. She adores soft toys but they are kept as an occasional treat. They will be gleefully shredded on contact!
BB is not aggressive but is very attentive to outside noises and believes it’s her job to let you know when anyone is nearby. This can be very comforting for a single person living alone or a work-from-home individual lost in thought (like her current owner ).
BB likes children and has spent time with kids age 3-15. However, she is large and care should be taken around very tiny tikes. BB is comfortable riding in the car but gets anxious being left alone in the car. She also enjoys riding in a boat! She spends time at a boarding facility and gets along with all the other dogs very well, the people there love her. Just don’t say the word “camp” in front of her unless you mean it! She gets so excited to go to camp.
BB was found abandoned in a rural area outside Houston TX in August 2012 at approx. 6 months old.
All vet records are current and she has been under a Wellness plan with Banfield since found. The wellness plan renews annually and will be paid for by the current owner until the next renewal. BB is micro chipped and in excellent health. BB is house trained and knows some commands, like sit, down and stay (kind of ). She sits patiently while waiting for meals and knows how to scratch at the door to go potty. She has a foldable crate, dog bed, dog bowl and leash that will go with her.
Note: BB is a courtesy listing for a private party. BB is not a Southern Treasures Animal Rescue dog. As a courtesy to assist the owner, please go to http://adoptstardogs.org/ under Adopt tab to fill out an application for BB as well as additional photos. Click to enlarge photos. If video tab not shown please see link http://youtu.be/E3d-1hW6X9Y for video of BB.
