Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: Nestle
Breed: Husky/Pyrenees/Chow
Sex: Female
Age: 1 year
Weight:40 lbs
Dogs: Yes - with proper introduction
Cats: Yes
Kids: Yes
Special Needs: Megaesophagus
Details: Nestle is a dog with a lot of personality! She is sweet, funny and will always keep you laughing. She loves to go for walks every day and play with her foster buddies. Cudding and belly rubs are two of her favorite things. She is house and crate trained and knows her basic commands.
Megaesophagus is an enlarged or stretched esophagus (tube that carries food from the mouth to the stomach). The muscles in the esophagus that are responsible for pushing food down do not work properly because the nerves that control them are partially or completely paralyzed. A dog’s esophagus runs parallel to the floor. Because the esophagus muscles are weak or non- functioning, whatever the dog eats or drinks can pool in the esophagus stretching the esophagus further and potentially creating pouches or pockets. These pockets collect food and water, where they will remain until the dog regurgitates them.
These dogs are mostly affected by malnutrition and pneumonia as they regurgitate and inhale food material into their lungs. Feedings involve experimenting with food consistencies from slurrpies to meatballs and sitting the dog in an upright position for a period of time after every meal (20min to 1 hr - depending on the specific dog).
All of our foster homes are required to grind up kibble and add in some soft Natural Balance or Holistic Select dog food. This food is higher quality canned dog food with a higher percentage of moisture in it and higher in calories. The puppies each eat 4-5 small meals a day.
