Here's what the humans have to say about me:
8-9 months old, female kitten ♥ special needs ♥
Meet the sweetest, cutest kitten around, Peppermint Patty! Peppermint is a stunning 8-9 month old maine coon tabby/tortie mix who was found as a stray and brought to the Philadelphia shelter. She is a petite, fluff ball of a cat who LOVES to crawl into your lap and snuggle. Peppermint is a laid back, fun, very affectionate, attentive little gal who will truly warm your heart. She has an incredibly unique look and we think she is one special kitten.
Peppermint Patty gets along FABULOUSLY with the other cats she is in foster care with and since she is still a kitten, she loves to play and romp around. She also lives with a goofy, big pit bull whom she really likes and would do great with a cat-saavy dog in her forever home.
♥ Peppermint has had a full exam with our veterinarian regarding her eyes and we do not anticipate any further damage or issues to her eyes. She has anterior synechiae of the eyes which are adhesions between the iris and other structures in the eye. They are the result of inflammation or damage to the iris. However, Peppermint Patty can see just fine, with the exception of some blurring on the exterior of her eye, and is currently being treated with a topical eye ointment to alleviate any infection that may have occurred before she came to our rescue
Due to a slight lack of vision our of the corner of her eyes, she may get startled easily and would likely do best in a home with older children who understand how her eyes work.
Peppermint Patty is currently in foster care in NE Philadelphia. She is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on all vaccines including rabies, is litter box trained, is comfortable having her nails trimmed, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She is all set to be adopted and can't wait to be yours!
