Hello, the Ark named me Lucy. Ms. Jeni, a volunteer at the Ark found me on sleeping in a ditch. I was really scared at first, but decided to get in her car to get the food she was offering me. I rested my head on her shoulder all the way to the doggie doctor. They call me a hound mix. My coat is a very pretty tan with white. I was born March 2013. I weigh 55 lbs now. The Ark doggie doctor took really good care of me. I have had everything done and I am ready to find a family that will keep me my lifetime. It is no fun living in a ditch. I want to enjoy the fun of being a member of your family. When you come to the Ark, ask to see Lucy. That's me.

Lucy is dog reactive and has to be a single dog. However she will not pull you like a wild horse over the street to get to an other dog, she is actually well behaved. Her behavior is a bit like when the Soldiers come back from the war zone and have anxieties. Sometimes she hides and she needs to be left alone until she comes out on her own. Believe me we at the ARK LOVE this girl, so we are sure someone else can/will to :)

Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. We do require a fenced-in yard to adopt our larger dogs.
