Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: Bailey
Sex: Female
Breed: Mastiff/Hound Mix
Age: ~ 7.5 yrs
Weight: 65 lbs
Good with: People & cats but may be dog selective
Bailey is a sweet and gentle 7-8 year old dog from South Carolina, currently being fostered in the Boston area. Bailey is very patient, calm, easy going, and polite. Someone definitely loved this dog. She’s well-behaved, completely housebroken, and knows basic commands (sit, stay, come, etc.).
Bailey’s favorite activities are snuggling, eating, gnawing on a bone, and going on car rides.
Bailey would be a wonderful dog for someone who doesn’t spend a lot of time at home. She can be left home alone without a crate because she is perfectly behaved when left home alone. She loves to nap and observe what’s going on outside the windows. She enjoys staying warm by lounging in sunny spots and sleeping under a blanket. Her foster will leave her during the day to go to work and she greets her happily when she comes home.
Bailey had surgery for laryngeal paralysis but has fully recovered. You would never know that she had surgery other than the fact that she cannot bark like she used to (it sounds like a soft whisper) and that she must wear a harness rather than a collar. Bailey had some minor skin issues and allergies when we first got her. Now that she gladly takes a Claritin pill with breakfast and dinner, she has been itch-free.
She is such a good girl, very mellow, smart, and loving!
