My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Ranger and I'm about 16 months old. I was lost in the high desert area of Southern California a few months ago and wound up on death row in a scary, concrete doggy jail. Then, suddenly, I was rescued by a new friend and flown to beautiful Oregon. I've waited a long time for my new home to be built here, but sad to say, those plans have all fallen through. So here I am ready for a family to love and to love me in return. I'm a very friendly guy. I love to play ball, wrestle, and tag with other dog friends. I do jump up on humans to get my ball sometimes, so it's best if I'm in a home with older kids (14+). The smaller, younger kids seem to scare me, and I don't know what to think of them. I need a lot of exercise and a big place to play because I am still a very young guy. I do like to be indoors with my family a lot, though. I'm crate, kennel, leash, and house trained. I've been around cats a little bit, but I'm not fully cat trained. They look like they'd be fun to chase and play with, but they're afraid of me. So, instead, I just play with doggy friends both large and small alike. I do enjoy chasing the birds at the park. Those darn birds, though, are more clever and faster than my ball, so I can never catch any of them. If you can offer me a forever home and have a big place for me to play, I'd love to meet you and give you lots and lots of kisses, hugs, and love in return.
