Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Updated Bio 1/12/15-- Sadie is a sweet little 3.9 year old girl who weighs just 7.4 pounds. We are so happy that she has gained a few pounds since she came to us. She is being fostered in Jacksonville, FL.
Hi everyone, Sadie here. I just heard from the dogter that did my surgery that I do not have cancer! FM is jumping up and down and clapping. Not sure why she is acting that way but I guess this is good news. FM tells me I will finally get those metal things (staples) removed from my tummy. I have been very good about eating and it is nice to get good food on a regular basis. I am no longer looking in the trash cans. However, I still sneak on the table to get whatever the cat left when FM isn’t looking. I keep trying to get to know the cat but I’m not sure she likes me as she keeps yelling at me when I try to say hi.
FM – The pathology report shows no cancer. They identified the foreign object as grass and other things that had hardened. The adhesions were found on her entire left side and included the spleen and the bladder. Based on her previous vet notes, she may have had the perforation back in 2012. She was severely ill, dehydrated and kept in the vet hospital for several days on IV’s and antibiotics. The extent of the adhesions is probably why Sadie has frequent urination. This is due to the small bladder size caused by the adhesions. She is on Cranberry concentrate to see if this will help with bladder tone. She finally has meat on her bones and is currently 7 ½ pounds and gaining. She is currently eating ½ cup of kibble twice a day with supplements for weight gain and a High calorie snack in the afternoon. Although she is fed on a regular basis, she is still looking for more food. If you are not watching, she will eat your dinner! Her personality is very sweet considering how she lived the first 3+ years of her life. She loves to be with her person and to give lots of kisses. It will be best if she is not with young children. She will have her dental at the beginning of February and then ready to find her fur-ever home. Are you the right family for this special little girl?
Thank you to all Sadie's angels who have helped so much with her medical expenses. We are still not done. She will need a dental for her badly neglected teeth, so please continue to reach into your heart and donate to Sadie's medical care.

From Sadie.
Hi Sadie here. I am going to have a very nice Christmas because of some special people. My first humans kept me outside in the yard with my fur brother. We had two litters together. Then he suddenly disappeared. My humans told me he died but they did not know why and they were going to give me to someone else. A nice lady found me on Facebook and rescued me a few months ago. I was in horrible condition and was infested with fleas, had sores all over my body and I looked like a skeleton. She took me to a doggy doctor and was told I needed lots of medical care, which she could not afford to do for me. She was very nice and wanted for me to get everything I needed to be healthy so she came to United Yorkie Rescue for help. Now I live with my new Foster Mom in Jacksonville, FL.
From Sadie’s Foster Mom.
Sadie came to UYR in rough shape but is as sweet as could be considering all she has been through. Her previous vet indicated there was a large mass in her abdomen. Further workup is needed to determine if it is malignant. Sadie also has a significant heart murmur, is in dire need of a dental exam and is not spayed. Sadie has a good appetite but is very thin and malnourished. In spite of all her challenges she is happy and playful. She has already made herself at home here with my critters and me. Stay tuned for additional information and updates on this sweet girl as we get to know her and more fully determine her medical needs and prognosis.
