Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Our Tucker boy was found in the Corridor of Cruelty in Houston, Texas and he is more than ready to find his forever family. He’s been through so much in his life and has waited so long, but now it is his time to find true happiness.
Happiness for Tucker is a home where he can be the only dog and just hang out with his people. He has some anxiety in unfamiliar surroundings, so he likes a nice, solid routine with familiar people. Cats and small children are not on Tucker’s wish list! When in a comfortable environment, he is happy as a clam and it shows. If given the chance, he will sit in your lap within seconds. He’s not your typical lap dog, but he’s more than willing to change that stereotype.
Tucker is about 6 years old now (estimated birthday is November 2009), so he is mature, wise and fully trained. He currently weighs 55 pounds, which is the perfect size for a lap dog, right? His shiny, soft brown coat and white vest are just gorgeous. These soulful eyes tell a story of sadness from his past, but also of hope for a wonderful, loving future. Our best guess on his mix of breeds is American Staffordshire and Chocolate Labrador. He’s smart, witty and athletic, a perfect mix! All dogs have favorite hobbies and although Tucker isn’t interested in toys for long, he LOVES to run alongside a bicycle for exercise. He gets excited when he sees his friend’s get theirs out of the garage. He also walks very well on his leash for daily strolls around the park. This is an excellent way to bond with this sweet guy too.
Tucker is a very sweet, affectionate and quiet dog with his humans. He is fully crate-trained and will make a dash for his crate for feeding time. Tucker is not much of a talker, so that is a huge bonus for you and your neighbors.
We would love nothing more than to find this great boy a family to call his own. All he needs is love and the opportunity to adore his new people every day of his life. Although he’s an older guy, he still has lots of life and adventures to take part in. He is fully vetted (neutered, microchipped, and has all of his current vaccinations). He is house and kennel trained and walks very well on his leash!
Tucker is currently being fostered in HOUSTON, but can be flown to your area via United Pet Safe. His adoption fee (including flight, kennel, kennel bed, and health certification) is $400.
An adoption contract and his adoption fee must be paid prior to him departure from Houston.
