fostered in Richmond VA
He's a really nice boy. House broken, crate trained, good with most other pets. He can be a little uncomfortable with larger dogs but is fine with smaller dogs. Rides nicely in the car. Nice mellow boy. No health issues, no sensitive skin, no allergies. Being fostered in a home with multiple pets, dogs of each gender. He's in s foster home with two cats and he's fine with one (outgoing/confident) and not the other (shy/skittish). His foster mom thinks he’s attempting to play with the shy cat but it not appreciated by the cat. He’s an easy keeper, low drive, lower energy. He looks large in the photos but he is actually a fairly small boy. He is about 50lb, short and stocky. He’s a bit of a marker in the yard and a bit stiff with strange male dogs. We would prefer to place him as an only pet or with a laid back female dog that will respect his age. He occasionally is in the mood to play but it doesn’t last long. He is 10 years old. Neutered, UTD on shots, senior baseline blood work, HW negative and microchipped. Great easy going dog.
Senior blood work looks great. He has an untreated luxated patella on the left back leg that has lead to some stiffness and arthritis in that joint. On a low dose of aspirin or rhimadyl he acts young again. He’s had minimal training and knows only a few basic commands like “Sit” and “crate”. Has one lump on his back leg that’s been aspirated and is benign. Overall a very healthy dog.
He's just a good boy. Born in late 2004/early 2005. He would not be recognized in any legitimate registry as they all have banned the registration of merles. His coat is not a traditional pit bull type coat. It's very short but it's also very soft and silky. He's a nice solid dog with a great temperament and good looks. We helped place him through friends in 2006 when his ‘breeder' moved and got rid of some of his dogs. He changed hands a few years back and then in November that owner moved and didn't plan on taking him. Luckily we were alerted. So he's in foster care and up for adoption again. He is 10 years old. Neutered, UTD on shots, senior baseline blood work, HW negative and microchipped. Great easy going dog.

Please keep in mind that we are a foster based rescue only. There is no facility where these dogs can be visited prior to application approval as they are all in private homes. This is for both the safety of our foster homes and our dogs. Please take a minute to fill out the adoption application if you are interested in one of our dogs. We also do not place our pit bulls in homes with dogs of the same gender. We adopt as single dogs or to homes with dogs of the opposite gender only. We appreciate breed experience.
