Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cody is an approximately 4 year old male bichon frise. He's a wonderful little dog full of intelligence and energy. Cody was found as a stray and brought into an animal control facility. When he first arrived, we had to work with some fear issues that would result in aggressive behavior. Although this behavior has improved, he still can have some issues, which is why we want to see him go to an experienced dog owner.
Cody is very active and loves to run around and play in our fenced yard. He enjoys squeaky toys and chew toys. He also loves to cuddle. He LOVES going on walks and does very well on a leash. When he's excited to see us, he actually spins in circles and jumps up like he's doing a circus stunt. Cody is on the dominant side and gets along with other dogs as long as they are not dominant as well. He would do best in a home as an only dog so that he doesn't have to share his humans with anyone else, although the right type of dog could be a good companion for him as well. He's a very nice boy that deserves a great home!
Cody has been neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (negative) and put on preventative, dewormed, vaccinated, and has had a dental cleaning. He's being fed a high-quality food that doesn't contain any corn, wheat, soy, meat by-products or other low-quality ingredients, and we hope his new family will continue to feed him a high-quality food for the rest of his life. Cody is being fostered in Madison, WI, and his adoption fee is $300. If you're interested in providing a great home for Cody, please contact Margaret at loveforbichons@gmail.com to request an application.
The adoption process with Safe Haven Bichon and Friends Rescue includes a written application, reference checks, and a home visit.
We do not ship dogs/puppies on planes or send them on transports. Adopters are required to come to the foster home to adopt
