Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Updated Bio 12-18-14 -- Sweet little Gia is a 3 year old little yorkie who weights 7.11 pounds and is being fostered in Leesburg, FL.
Gia has been through so much since she came to her foster home on Sunday. She had all her vaccinations and is heartworm negative. She did have hookworm and is being treated for that. She was spayed and her a minor dental today. She is not feeling her best right now
In the few days we have had Gia we have learned a lot about her personality. She is definitely a people only dog. She pretty much ignores the other dogs and cats in her foster home. She tends to be a little pushy when it comes to getting attention from her people, and if she is not getting the attention she will push her way in to be that one that does. She would love a person who is home a lot. She will be their little shadow. And if you rub her belly she is in heaven. She likes to cuddle, be held, and just be with her person 24/7.
Gia has decided that sleeping in her doggie bed is not as good as sleeping in the people bed and will jump up on the bed to be there. She also jumps off the bed. We are working very hard to get her to use the doggie stairs up to the bed and not jump off. So far she's not cooperating. We are having to remember to take her down off the bed when we leave the bedroom so she doesn't jump.
Gia is a charmer and will crawl over to you to snuggle, and push any other dog away to get to her person, so a home with no other dog would be her best place. She would prefer a stay at home or home a lot person to be with to give her lots of attention. She is not one to play much, she just wants to be loved and give love.
If you want an only dog and will be home to give her all that time and attention then you may just be the right one for this sweet baby.
Gia is a 3 year old, 5 lb Yorkie-mix girlie who is being fostered in
Leesburg FL. Sadly for Gia, her former owners had to move to a place where
they could not keep her and reached out to United Yorkie Rescue for help.
Gia did NOT plan on spending Christmas in a strange place and hopes that
Santa will be bringing her a new PURFECT forever home. That is at the TOP
of Gia's wish list...could it be YOU? Stay tuned as we get to know Gia
better.
