My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PETE and SAMI: Pete (tuxedo-tiger angora) and Sami (calico tiger) are 10-year-old littermates. They were much-loved pets who were well cared for. Then their owner fell on hard times and could no longer keep her cats. When we got them, they had been through a lot of change and were completely traumatized. We put our best cat foster home on the case, and we are happy to report that they have adjusted beautifully.

They are quiet cats, used to a quiet home, so that's what we're looking for: a quiet adult home that is more into old movies than, say, keg parties. They will probably take some time to adjust, but once they are comfortable, they are peaches: they are great company and extremely loving. Petey is the leader of the pair; he is very sweet and loves to be brushed (not that he needs a lot, it's just something he enjoys). Sami takes a little longer to trust you, but once she does, she is a love bug. They also love to play with toys. They need to go together, and although they do not like young whippersnappers, they do get along well with other quiet cats. We don't know how they'd be with dogs yet. As we said, they do need an adult household.

Like all WAG animals, Pete and Sami are neutered/spayed and fully up-to-date on vet care. WAG only accepts applications from New Hampshire residents and from residents of communities in Maine, Vermont, and Massachusetts that are on the New Hampshire border. If you are interested in applying to adopt Pete and Sami, a WAG adoption application can be found at http://www.wearewag.org/adopt.htm.
