Tucker is one calm creature. He loves to cuddle, snuggle, be rubbed, pet, hugged and even, brushed! He was found at a garbage dump in West Virginia and was just recently moved to Madison, Wisconsin where he’s enjoying time in a warm house. Tucker enjoys walks on a leash and hanging out in his crate, even when the crate door is open. He doesn’t demand much attention like some other border collies we know, but he sure appreciates it when he gets it.
Currently Tucker is a bit out of shape. Must have been all that leftover McDonalds! We’re certain that his new diet and living conditions will help his health, allowing him to be more active than he is now. Tucker is also being treated for demodex mange–another result of his poor health and low immune system at the garbage dump. Otherwise, Tucker is current on all vaccinations and is neutered.
Tucker gets along well with his foster family dog, Lego and they are a superb walking pair. Tucker is so easy going and loving that it’s hard to imagine any dog not getting along with him. We’ve never seen any forward movement from him–aggressive stances or teeth. Not even a bark yet! He is really that calm. He likes toys, especially the ones that squeak and he is willing to share everything (even treats). You should also know that he’s a great learner and is picking up basic commands like sit, come and walk quickly.
If you’d like to meet Tucker, the fuzzy, chill border collie, please contact Lexie and Tor his foster parents.
