Here's what the humans have to say about me:
TJ is a very happy 16-month old male harlequin. Although he is deaf and partially blind (beyond about 8 feet), he loves to play with other dogs, go to the dog park and be with his foster brother and sister Dane. He likes to be with his foster mom, and will follow her everywhere. He loves attention but is leery of strangers when his foster mom isn’t around. TJ hasn’t shown any signs of being aggressive with toys, bones, or food. He has started learning sign language and does very well when there are treats involved. He will use a crate but tends to be vocal when he is left alone. He is still learning to walk on a leash but does very well with a gentle leader. TJ will need additional training in his adoptive home, especially on manners. He is a BIG lap dog and loves to sleep on the bed. He tends to sleep better when he is touching someone or another dog as he can feel when they move. TJ’s sight is great but we have noticed that beyond about 8 feet in the sun, he tends to just see shadows. There is absolutely nothing wrong with his nose as you can’t hide anything from him without him finding it. He would do great in a home without small children as their quick movements tend to spook him. A home with other dogs, especially a female dog, would be a great fit for TJ.
