My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Poor Kaylee has been neglected for most of her life and it shows. She is fairly young based off her teeth, but her body shows the wear and tear of humans using her as a breeding machine and then throwing her away on the streets. She was then picked up by a high kill shelter and almost killed due to overcrowding. She is a total love and is great with people. She is not very fond of cats and seems to have a bit of a prey drive for them. On the other hand she has done fine the small dogs and large males. She is getting used to the female lab in her foster home, but would do better in a home where there are no females since she is a bit dominant. She is looking for a loving home to make up for all of the neglect that she has suffered throughout her life. We are getting her skin healed up and her in overall good health. She has been a trooper through it all. Please consider offering this sweet girl a loving permanent home and show her the love that she deserves.

Update: 3/15 - Kaylee is all healed up now with her skin. She is a wonderful dog, but would do best in a home where she is an only dog and there are no cats. She wants all of the attention and is deeply devoted to who feels is her person. She seems fine with calm kids that she met.

For more info on any animal that you are interested in please call 435-215-9282 or email soutocsp@hotmail.com. We are at the Petco in Washington, UT every Saturday from 10-4. Please note that a foster/volunteer may not be able to meet up during the week. It depends on the availability of each foster/volunteer. We do this on an all volunteer basis and all have work/family/life/etc. Since we often have our own schedules we may or may not be able to meet up with potential adopters during the week. We will make appointments with you once we have an approved application as long we are available, but we ask that you complete an application before we will make an appointment. Please note that you can get an application for either our dogs or cats on our site (www.soutocsp.webs.com). If you are interested in a particular animal or multiple animals they will most likely be at the Petco during our regular adoption hours on the weekend. Please call or email ahead of time to confirm that they will be there. An animal may be on a medical hold or a foster may not be able to bring them down or they may not be available yet. Please read the full profiles on each animal as most of the profiles say what is the best fit for an animal. For example if a dog is not doing well in a foster home with cats, then a home without cats will be required. This is the same with kids or other dogs. Most of the time it will be stated how a dog or cat is with other dogs or cats and kids.
