Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: Katie
Age: 3 years old
Disability: rear left leg deformity, untreated broken bone
Breed/Weight: Black lab mix, 45 pounds
History: Katie was found as a stray and turned into one of our local shelters. Then named her Apple Pie, why because as they explain to us she was as sweet as apple pie! And they were right.
Katie exhibits all the wonderful characteristics of the Labrador! Although a bit shy at first she warmed up to us very quickly! Katie is easy going, smart, happy, and great around kids and other dogs! The shelter had her for over a month thinking she would be adopted, but potential adopters stayed away because of her unique looking back leg and finally asked us to pull her into our rescue.
As our vet said, "her back leg is definitely unique, but very functional." When Katie runs she raises it and runs like the wind on 3 legs, and when she stops she brings it down and uses it for balance. She is an amazing easy dog, and we have all just fell in love with her here!
So how much more do you need, Katie, is a happy dog, just wanting to be part of someone’s family! She loves to play with other dogs, and will settle quickly with a tasty Kong after a good play with dog friends. Katie will fit into any family!
