Buddy and Buffy are tiger brothers who were surrendered to WAG because of owner illness. Although we were happy to be a safety net for these 12-year-olds, we were worried about their transition. They had lived their entire lives with their owner, who adored and pampered them -- how were they going to be with all the change? In a nutshell: they are having a blast. They think every person they meet is just someone else who can rub their bellies. They carry their cat toys around like squirrels with acorns. They think that cat trees are, well, the cat's meow.
These big boys (~15 lbs. each) are very loving and are happy to be picked up and petted, and both like to sleep on the bed with you. But they have different personalities, which makes them so much fun:
Buffy, the orange tiger, is more independent and curious. He is interested in everything and enjoys checking things out; he is an absolute riot. And, as you can see from the pictures, he has the gift of being able to fall asleep anywhere. When Buddy, the brown tiger, isn't playing, he thinks that laps were made to be sat in by cats, specifically him. He LOVES attention.
These boys are fun and easy to live with. They are in perfect health. They would probably be fine with a mellow dog, and they ignore other cats. No young kids only because they have never lived with them, but they would be fine with older kids. Like all WAG animals, Buffy and Buddy are neutered and fully up-to-date on vet care. WAG only accepts applications from New Hampshire residents and from residents of communities in Maine, Vermont, and Massachusetts that are on the New Hampshire border. If you live in our service area and are interested in applying to adopt Buffy and Buddy, a WAG adoption application can be found at http://www.wearewag.org/adopt.htm.
