Séamus (pronounced SHAY-mus) is one cute guy! He's an adorable Beagle/Basset Hound mix about 12 months old with a fun, lovable personality guaranteed to keep you entertained! Séamus is current on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. He is an outgoing, friendly, and affectionate pup that loves people. Like most young dogs Séamus is playful and unusually well-behaved for his age. But true to his "hound" heritage, Séamus can be stubborn at times. If you don't have prior hound experience, do your homework first!

Séamus gets along well with other same-sized dogs and enjoys running and playing with them in the fenced backyard of his foster home. He also enjoys going for walks. Although Séamus keeps his crate clean and dry, he's not particularly fond of being in it during the day though he sleeps in it quietly all night.

Séamus wants a home with humans that are prepared to provide lots of love, plenty of daily exercise, and basic obedience training. Prior experience with either Beagles or Basset Hounds would be best.

Important: Séamus is not at a shelter where you can go to meet him. All Safe Hounds Beagles are cared for in a loving foster home. Prospective adopters MUST submit an adoption application and be pre-approved before meeting a dog. Submitting an application does not guarantee you will be approved. We do not accept applications for specific dogs. Once an application is approved, we’ll begin a matching process—the right dog for the right home.
