Here's what the humans have to say about me:
1-2 year old, male cat
This handsome mug (and adorable ear) belong to the amazing Professor Oskar Crumplehorn! Oskar is an adorable and social 1-2 yr old male cat who came into the shelter in Philly as a stray.
Oskar had some terrible ear mites that caused his ear to swell and a blood blister to rupture (ouch!) causing his ear to crumple down. His ear was drained and stitched up and has recovered nicely but likely will always be crumpled over. He has been treated for his ear mites and is rid of those pesky bugs.
Oskar is much happier as an indoor companion and enjoys the finest things in life. He considers sun puddles, naps in his foster parents bed (or the dog's bed), regular food and heat to be the finest things in life. He is fine living with other cats, but can very playful, so he would do best with another active cat (or as your only pal). He is also fine with dogs, as long as the dog does not try to chase him and respects his space.
Oskar is one of those amazing young cats with awesome house manners (always uses the scratching post and is perfect with the litter box). He is playful & has lots of energy, and enjoys following his people around and greeting you at the door with a story to tell. He may also occasionally remind you where his food is kept and lead you to the bowl.
Oskar is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested Felv/FIV negative. He has had basic vet care (deworming and flea and tick prevention). Oskar does have a Grade II/III heart murmur that is not expected to cause problems in the forseeable future, but should be monitored at annual or twice annually vet exams. Oskar is waiting for you!!
His adoption fee is $95, to help offset vetting costs and to allow The Philly Kitty to continue to save at risk and special needs cats. Oskar will need to be kept as an indoor only companion and not be declawed.
