Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Sammy, named after Sammy Davis Junior. I am a short haired, male black cat with lots of personality. I am unusually intelligent and very a quick learner. I understand English like you would never believe! All I want for Christmas is a warm home and an owner with a caring heart. If someone would be kind enough to adopt me I would jump over the moon! This is because my current keeper has recently had her leg amputated and she is unable to care for me any longer. I do not want to go down to the cats home because I know that I will face almost certain death. This is not a pleasant thought for me or my owner, but she has little choice due to her disability which is now affecting my life as a healthy pussy cat. This current situation is not good.
I've had all my shots and medicine to date and I am neutered. My health is good. I like to play outdoors, so much so that I will follow you around your garden or to your mail box or even for a walk down the road with you, just like a dog. I do not like being around other cats though, because I prefer people. This is perhaps because of my high degree of intelligence. (Some cats are stupid and I'm certainly not one of them)! Unfortunately for me I was declawed at some point, so I cannot damage your furniture, carpets or even you by scratching.
A home with someone who will allow me to love them, as much as they will love me, would be a perfect home for me. I would ideally be suited in a home where there are no small children. I would make an ideal companion for an elderly person.
I have a new cosy cat bed with a airline blanket which I can manage to pull over myself when I feel chilly, so there's no need to go out and buy me anything special. I eat almost anything that you eat....no special diet required because I am not a fussy eater and I'm just grateful for a meal.
Please consider me this Christmas. Time is running out for me! Let me make you happy this Holiday Season and I will return your love. Thank you for allowing me to share my story with you.
