Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This handsome Tabby is looking for a new home.
Jay (for jaywalker) was found in Lancaster, getting ready to cross the street. A kind woman stopped to keep him from getting hit, and he jumped right into her car!
He is good in the house and curious about what is going on. He likes to be held, and he likes laps. He eats with everyone, no scuffles. He uses the litterbox. Just a perfectly behaved, everything you want in a cat - Cat.
His fur is gorgeous. I can't get a photo that shows it accurately. It's a deep brown with hints of a russet red. He has dark bengal spots and a face that belongs on cat food packages. This photo is not just a chance look. This is how he looks at us all the time... very interested and happy. His eyes are mainly green-yellow, with a bright grass-green ring around the irises.
At first, he was a tiny bit dominate with my male cats, but they are friends now. I don't think it's a problem. He was introduced into a group he doesn't know, and didn't hide... I think that's a good thing.
I don't know how he is with dogs or kids. He doesn't react when the neighbor's dogs bark. He's very calm, so I don't think respectful kids would bother him.
He is about 3 years old. He is neutered, FeLV negative, and UTD on vaccinations. He has a microchip but it is from when he was a kitten, and he has had different owners since then. The original owner who had his Mom, and brothers and sisters, took care of them and got all their shots, neutering and a microchip. Jay was re-homed to a friend of her granddaughter, but she heard later that he got away from that home.
When his chip was traced, and we told her we had her baby, she offered to take him back but also said it is ok for us to try to find a new home for him.
The microchip company will register it in the new owner's name with proof of adoption.
