My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Madison is a pretty little golden mix. Some of you may recognize her from a couple of years ago – she recently was returned to us through no fault of her own. She is probably between 6-7 years old, and since she is “middle aged”, Madison really is the best of both worlds! She is potty trained, crate trained, and has a lot of her basic obedience skills while still being able to run around and play.
Madison is extremely respectful in the house. She waits politely at doors and for food, although it isn’t habit to do so quite yet, and she is always very responsive. If you want her to come to you, she happily comes trotting your way! She is relearning to stay off of the furniture in case her new parents don’t want her to be a couch potato . She listens very well to a soft “no,” however, and needs no more of a correction than that. As far as obedience goes, Madison knows “sit,” “down,” “wait,” and a collection of other cute tricks like “shake” and “beg” (sitting up on her haunches). She walks politely on leash, and has an excellent recall.
Madison also LOVES other dogs! She loves to play, and follows her foster siblings around trying to get them to play with her all of the time! She also loves to play with people, squinting her eyes in the most adorable way when she gets excited, and also loves to roll around with her soft little toys as well.
Madison really is one of those girls whose new family will be lucky to have her! She is a sweet, happy, playful companion who would do well in almost any environment.
