My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you looking for a cool customer? Then Gardiner is your man!! Gardiner was living outside in East Arlington, and a concerned neighbor started feeding him. As winter approached, the neighbor contacted Whiskers to see if we could bring him inside and find a permanent home. Gardiner was having a rough go of it outside, and he was getting beat up by other outdoor cats and animals.

Our vets checked him out, and Gardiner is in good health, although is is FIV+. We encourage you to read up about FIV on our website, as this should not detract from his adoptability at all! He has a few scars on his ears from previous skirmishes with other cats, but they are completely healed up, and he has very much embraced indoor living! We suspect that Gardiner must have lived inside for a portion of his life - he seems very accustomed to being a house cat. Our vet thinks he is about 5 years old.

Gardiner is extremely low key, and will let anyone and everyone pet him! He gets along with with other cats, and is untested with dogs. He had a very brief encounter with a small child and seem unphased, but we still consider him untested with little ones.

Gardiner would do well with any type of household, as long as there is someone there to give him a LOT of pats, and help him maintain his beautiful coat. When you look into this guy's eyes, you can tell he has been through a lot.....and he is so happy/relived to be back inside, he will give love and loyality to the person who gives him a forever home!
