My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is Fuzzy and I arrived at Florida Parrot Rescue by plane all the way from North Carolina. I am 20 years old and I am a Catalina Macaw. I was once diagnosed with Aspergillosis, but thanks to my caring family and a wonderful veterinarian, I overcame that nasty sickness. I am currently on a special diet of Harrisons lifetime pellets with lots of fresh veggies and some fresh fruits. As you can see, I have over-groomed my feathers but they are starting to fill in now. My foster dad is teaching me that human companionship can be fun and entertaining. I can also talk! I speak lots of words very clearly but I am shy about it. I like to play games and I also like to drum on my perch or cage while I wait for you to repeat the sound on another object. I am quiet most of the time, but I am a macaw so I can have my moments. I really love being in the same room as you, even if I am only watching you – I also like to watch TV with you or help you work on your computer. As you can see, I am an all around super guy and I just know that if you come and meet me that you will love me and want to take me home to be part of your family – so will you come for a visit soon??
