Brandy is an approximately 3-year old, 14lb, female Miniature Pinscher mix. She has eyes that tell a story and good looks and a personality that will capture your heart! Brandy is one of the most appreciative little girls we have rescued by Holly's Garden.
We rescued Brandy after one of our volunteers visited the shelter. She told us that there was an adorable little dog with the most beautiful eyes hiding under her shelter bed. Those eyes will captivate you from the first glance! When we went to pick Brandy up she came out of her kennel wagging her tail and giving us cautious kisses. Do you believe this beautiful girl was in the shelter longer than any other dog? Confined to a kennel for over 6 months! Brandy was voted the shelter staff favorite from the day she entered until the day we exited her!
We are sure the public overlooked her due to her insecurities and struggles with shelter life. She is still shy at first but once she gets to know you, she will be the most committed companion you will ever meet.
"Ballerina Girl Brandy" dances and twirls when she gets excited! She will dance for treats and when her foster mom enters. She loves toys, is great on a leash, loves car rides and is housetrained with outdoor access or regular walks. When at rest Brandy loves to be held like a baby and gives the best kisses! She is great with children and other small dogs (not sure about large dogs and cats) and would love a four legged companion. Brandy will do well in an active home (children over 8 years only), but also loves just being a lap dog!
We don't know about Brandy's past but we do know that she will make her new owner's future bright! Brandy was featured on San Diego 6-CW Network Animal House with Darlene White from the San Diego Animal Support Foundation.
