Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I am Dottie and I am a 5 year old JRT who is deaf. Although I may not be able to hear the world, the world can hear me as I do have a voice to talk to my foster mom and dad when I want to go out or play with my foster siblings. I like being around other dogs as they show me the way in my silent world, but I have a bit of an alpha streak in me (what JRT doesn’t!) so sometimes I get my way and sometimes I don’t. My foster mom and dad know that I have a clue about housebreaking, understand some basic hand commands, enjoy chew bones, and want to give lots of kisses to them and my siblings. I would thrive in a home where there are no small children as sometimes I nip when startled or hands are around me and I feel threatened. I am also trying to figure out how to sleep through the night as light and movement puts me on alert, but once I tell everyone about it and scope out the problem, I snuggle back in the nearest warm blanket. My foster parents are working with me so that I can be more comfortable in my surroundings. I may be a dog of special needs, but my biggest need is finding my forever home.
