Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Oliver: 7 Months; Sex: Male; Activity Level: Active Companion; Tri Colored Rough Coated Border/Aussie; Weight 35 lbs. Oliver is a playful, vibrant boy with handsome expressive eyes available for Foster to Adopt or Adoptive Home. He took to his first obedience lesson so well and I have found that this greatly benefits him inside the home and on the leash doing: sit to down and many other tricks using positive reinforcement and the clicker, he loves the use of a backpack so his walks are a job. Ollie seems to thrive off this work as well as creating a strong bond with his human. I know this boy’s future is so bright as his journey unravels through many socialization lessons in varied neighborhoods and even busier urban areas: walking trails are always great fun and he really loves the nature walks/bike trail walks; going to pet stores and even the vet’s office is a fun experience. Oliver is very social to strangers and stranger dogs and has really learned positive leash manners enjoying new experiences. Oliver’s litter was surrendered to rescue at 11 weeks old from a rural situation with just the momma doggie but no real human contact or love. Hard to believe this young boy is that same pup that didn’t know anything about life or love!! Oliver plays best with other confident, social adult dogs and may do best in a home with another pup or with like-minded play dates/smaller pup play settings. A great home for Oliver would be to continue his obedience/trick work in his home and in different social situations flourishing his mind for this social boy; continued socialization with other dogs or dogs in the home; children 10 and up that have time to spend loving and training a herder; a break during a typical work day (dog walker/come home for lunch); no apartments or condo’s please; 6 foot fence is a must. His adoption donation is $275 with applicable vetting/micro chip/monthly preventative/continued training and on a legal neuter contract when more of age (6-9 months); $325 vetting is finished within Houston TX rescue services. There is an application to fill out and home visit where applicable.
