Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Daisy. Daisy is about 1 ½ years old. Daisy’s previous owner moved away and left her in the back yard. She lived back there almost a year with minimal food & attention from a neighbor, before she was finally rescued. When we rescued her, she was emaciated & very pregnant. Unfortunately the puppies did not survive. For all she has been through, this dog has an amazingly sweet disposition. She is good with other dogs, kids & does not seem to be food aggressive with the other dogs in her foster home, which is hard to believe since she went without for so long. Daisy will always greet you with a smile, and it’s hilarious! It looks like she is bearing her teeth, but she is actually smiling while wagging her tail. She cannot be around cats AT ALL, and will probably need some basic training. What Daisy needs is a home that will actually make her part of the family. If she is left outside sometimes she will need a playmate, but she must be allowed to be indoors and part of a family. She has a little anxiety about being left because she has already been abandoned once for a long time, so she will need someone with lots of patience & love to give her. Daisy is heartworm negative, now spayed, and current on all vaccines and vet care. Her vet bills are $300 and we need to raise money to pay them, since our adoption fee is only $110.
