Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Everyone.....meet Stokey!!!! How about this good-looking boy? And what a guy he is! Stokey lost his home when his owners transferred due to work, but he hasn't missed a beat. He's a happy-go-lucky sweetheart of a guy that is happy whether he's just hanging out or on the greatest car ride ever! He will be 7 years old this upcoming January, is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, on heartworm preventative, and microchipped. What else could you ask for? Well, he's crate trained, has some obedience trained, gets along well with other dogs, and it just goes on and on. Stokey is an awesome fellow. He is larger than the typical Miniature Schnauzer/mix--he weighs in around 39 pounds and uses his size to his advantage--he's known to figure out how to get the piece of fruit from the countertop, so you'll need to make a few adjustments to keep Stokey safe and healthy in your home, but he promises he's not a bother and really just wants a family to call his own. To learn more about Stokey, visit our website at sfra.net to apply or contact foster mom, Nancy in Cincinnati, OH at kismet1@fuse.net.
The first step to any adoption is completion of the online application to adopt found at sfra.net. Please visit us and submit your application if interested in a particular dog. Be sure to first read the information at the top—this gives our adoption area and some other general adoption practices of SFRA.
SFRA is a 501c3 non-profit since 1996. We depend solely upon donations from the public to continue in our mission to rescue homeless Miniature Schnauzers, rehabilitate them, and place them into loving forever homes. If you cannot foster or adopt but would like to contribute to our cause, please visit our website at www.sfra.net for ways to donate (goods, services, snail mail addy for checks) or contribute through PayPal at trvogt@fuse.net All contributions are tax deductible and greatly appreciated by the dogs we help.
