Gracie and Griffin, the dynamic duo!
Gracie was once someone's pet, someones unspayed, neglected, unloved, pet. She loved her people, I am sure. When she got pregnant (shame on her!), they dumped her out in the woods. She did the best she could, to fend for her self and her 2 surviving kittens. Finally she stumbled into a kind mans yard, begging for help, but afraid to let them touch her. After all, the ones she loved once, treated her like trash and threw her away. Her 2 babies needed help too, but for one, it came too late.
Finally, after the tragic loss of Griffin's brother, they decided to trap her and her remaining baby. Griffin also, came very close to death, from a terrible parasite called a warble. Its what killed his little brother. Once trapped, their angel, Sharon and their knight in shining armor, made sure they got the best vet care they could find. Griffin had to go through a dose of antibiotics, and the have both been tested vaccinated, treated for internal and external parasites, and socialized. Gracie still has a hard time believing we aren't going to hurt her, or throw her away. Griffin is a wild man, racing up and down the hall like a wild man. It looks like he may have had a fracture in his leg as a young kitten, that was not treated before it healed, so his leg is growing a little differently. It does NOT slow him down one bit! he and his mom are very close, and she has learned to trust because he has never met a stranger. It would be good if they could stay together as the Dynamic duo!
