My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lu is a 1.5 to 2 year old, spayed female, 35-38 lbs, mix-Breed dog. Lu is super friendly to both people and dogs. Lu is great with kids, a very people-oriented dog and loves to follow people around. Lu is both energetic and calm at the same time. Lu is playful with other dogs or out in the dog park or playground, which is great for an active family. But when Lu is indoor, she is calm, submissive and lay back.

Lu has a sad history. She was dropped off at the shelter in Taiwan when she was a young young puppy (about 2-3 months old). Just like many places, puppies are usually the easiest to adopt out. In this particular shelter, adult and senor dogs have almost no chance because the shelter only shows puppies in their adoption events.

When Lu was still a puppy, she was brought to an adoption event. However, before the event even started, the shelter director saw Lu playing with the staff and other dogs. She thought Lu has too much energy and was "too hyper", so she ordered Lu to be removed from the event. Lu was kept in a van when the other puppies were shown. Lu was not seen by anyone that day. And the director never allowed Lu to go to any other adoption event. That was the last time Lu left the shelter.

Lu, growing up at the shelter, always faces lots of danger. Lu was moved from the puppy zone in the shelter to the adult kennel. She was bullied. Being the new dog to an established kennel, Lu could only be in the corner and living in danger everyday. To keep Lu safe, the volunteers put a cage inside the kennel and put Lu inside the cage. Even though Lu's somehow safe, but mentally and physically, she is living in a terrible condition.

2 months ago, Lu's volunteers (a couple of non-Taiwanese volunteers) reached out to us. They told us that Lu is an absolute absolute sweetheart and she deserves a chance to happiness. They asked us to find Lu a forever home in the US.

Please see Lu’s volunteer’s heartfelt testimony:

Lu walks on leash, plays with her best friend, and hangs out with her volunteer:

Please help share Lu’s story. The shelter took away her chance to be seen but together we can give the chance back to her! We believe Lu’s family is out there and they will see her, take her home, and love her forever.
