My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Benny was a great little companion to an elderly woman. His owner became very ill and it was necessary for her to have full time care givers. When the caregivers arrived to help Benny's owner, they found that her Grandson was abusing Benny. Benny's owner passed away and the caregivers made sure they got Benny away from his abuser. The abuse was so bad that Benny's fourth and fifth discs have been fused together from from his injuries. Even though Benny has been through so much, he has a lot of love to give. Benny enjoys car rides, snuggling next to you on the couch, and relaxing in the sun. He absolutely loves to play with tennis balls and chase after then in a game of fetch.
Benny would do fine with another senior or mellow dog or cat. He is just a little old man who can't keep up with puppy energy. Due to the abuse he has endured, Benny gets a little scarred of noises and does not like to be grabbed at. All Benny wants is a peaceful, quiet home that is full of love, where he will come to know that he will never again be abused, yelled at or denied food. Benny is a great little pup and will be a productive member of the family....please give Benny the second chance at life that he so desparately deserves. Benny is approximately 9 years old, weighs 25 pounds, is housetrained, neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.
