Dante is a very sweet Russian Blue. He tested positive for FIV which is not contagious to other cats except through deep bites, and Dante gets along well with other cats. He lived a hard life on the streets and was rescued about a year and a half ago. He has been with us for a while. I know his pictures look a bit 'rough', and that's b/c he lived as a Tom Cat for a few years before being rescued. He was sick when we found him and through the kindness of Keeschond Rescue, his life was saved through veterinary care and a proper diet, and lots of love. Someone once said to me, “Dante looks as rough as I feel sometimes”. He is a rescued stray who is grateful for the care he receives, and he is in search of a kind hearted companion that can continue to care for him.
Dante loves being scratched with a brush, hiding in comfy places, napping, his cardboard scratch post, catnip, and being pet. He is a very independent cat who is laid back and good at doing his own thing, yet at the same time also enjoys human affection and attention. He looks forward to being fed and is completely litter box trained. He LOVES to PURR, in fact it’s his favorite! Dante is a warrior cat. He lived a rough life on the streets and is so happy to finally be inside and cared for! He doesn’t want to go back outside (scared of the outdoors) but loves the screen room.
Dante is an extremely grateful cat. He loves catnip, his scratch posts, and relaxing and keeping you company while you watch t.v. He is very laid back and has a great vibe. If you are looking to do an 'Act of Kindness' or gather up good Karma, Dante really needs a good home!! Thank you for considering adopting a rescue cat!
