Meet Thelma! Thelma is a sweet, beautiful 6 year old female GSD. She came into rescue back in January in horrific condition. She and her daughter were chained to an abandoned trailer with no food water, or shelter. Their chains were only about 8 feet long. We rescued them during an ice storm, where they were standing out in the storm with fur frozen to their skin :( Louise, her daughter was treated for heart worm and ehrlichia and has since found her forever home. But Thelma was in much worse shape. But all that is behind her now! Thelma has made a full recovery from all her medical issues, and is now looking for her perfect forever home.

Thelma is a really affectionate girl, and wants to be right with you all the time. She loves toys, and her greatest joy in life is laying at your feet in the evening. She's a calm girl, and has excellent manners now. She is good with dogs her own size or larger, but does have more of a dominant personality so would do best in a home without another dominant dog. No small dogs, and definitely no cats. Thelma also loves children.

If you're looking for a mature dog with MANY good years left, Thelma is your girl. She has been through SO much, and we'd love to get her settled in her very own forever home. This girl is a GEM, and will reward you with years and years of love and devotion!

Thelma is being fostered in Marlborough, CT.

Thelma is spayed, utd on routine vaccinations, flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention. She has also been microchipped. She must go to a home where she will live inside as an important member of the family.

Thelma's adoption fee is $475 which includes all age appropriate vet care, neuter, microchip and associated costs.

We do not have a physical shelter, our dogs and puppies are in private foster homes. We do not adopt to anyone under 21.
