IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN MEETING / ADOPTING THIS PET, YOU MUST GO TO OUR WEBSITE AND FILL OUT AN APPLICATION AT http://www.littledogsbigheartsrescue.com/adoption-application/
Name: Max
Breed: Powder-puff Chinese Crested / Shih Tzu (best guess!)
Gender: Neutered Male
Age: Approx. 5 yrs in Oct ’14
Weight: Approx. 17 lbs (but needs to lose a few pounds)
Energy Level: Medium
Apartment Appropriate: Unlikely- his bark is bigger than his little body!
Good w/ Dogs: Has been great with small dogs, large dogs unknown
Good w/ Cats: Unknown
Good w/ Kids: Would probably be fine with calm, respectful kids age 12 and over, but prefers adults
Comments: Max is one of those dogs who had it all but just became a victim of circumstance. The mom in his former family has been transferred to Belgium for work, and they could not find accommodations on that side that would allow Max to come with them. They had adopted Max from a shelter a few years ago and didn’t want any part of him going back there, so reached out for help for their beloved boy. How could we say no to this face?
Fortunately, Max has been very loved and well-treated by his previous family. He is crate-trained and housebroken, very cuddly and loving, and eager to please. He even sits on command! He is overweight and we are working on slimming him down, but he isn’t a lazy pup, so with the right caloric intake, he’ll be back to perfection in no time. Despite his adorably scruffy look, his hair is very soft and lovely to touch. Everyone comments on it! One look into that precious little face and you’re just hooked. Max is definitely a lap dog and is looking for someone who likes to hold, cuddle, snuggle, and kiss their pups. He has done absolutely beautifully with the other small dogs in his foster home, but he has lived as the only dog in the home for the last few years, so would be fine with that too if he’s getting enough attention. He LOVES attention! If Max seems like your dream guy, please fill out an application today!
