My story

Hi! My name is Calvert! I am a very laid back, undemanding little guy who really just wants to be near you and snuggle. I hope you don’t mind company because I like to follow you everywhere you go. I get along great with my foster siblings, dogs (a boy and girl Jack and a girl Aussie) and human, but I’m not all that interested in playing, just hanging out. Of course, I’ve had a pretty hard life and my foster mom says I need sleep, groceries and lots of TLC before I can think about playing. We have an adult cat in the house that is about as big as I am so I just stay out of his way. Those two new kittens look REALLY interesting though, so mom makes me stay in the other room when they are out playing. I like to cuddle with both my foster mom and dad but tend to follow dad around the most. I cry when I have to be separated from them so mom thinks I will do best with someone who is retired, works from home or works a schedule where they will be able to spend lots of time with me and take lots of walks. I am house trained and walk very well on a leash. I love to go for walks and snuggle on the couch! I do go in my crate at night and while they are at work if I have to, but mom thinks I will do fine without it if my new owner wants to allow me that freedom. I would really rather sleep on the bed if you will let me!
