My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is Sweet Baby Ray! I was found as a puppy living in a vacant house with two of my brothers, my mom, and my dad (Read my rescue story here:http://www.strayrescue.org/node/3934). I was not very trusting of people as a puppy and I am still working on my social skills. I get along great with my foster canine brothers but I am learning that other dogs have boundaries just as I do. I enjoy daily walks to stretch my long legs and playing with toys and my foster brothers. My foster mom is very pleased with my increasing confidence on walks and she encourages me to explore new places we haven’t walked before. I greet new experiences with hesitation but after I am given time to check things and people out at my own pace I do very well! 

I now greet visitors at the front door and I try to play with them too but watch out when I get my legs swinging! I am an incredible walker, house broken, and know “sit,” “stay,” and “leave it.” I have also mastered crate training! When it is time for breakfast or dinner, I go into my crate and wait for my meal to be delivered. Overall, I am taking to training faster than my foster mom expected – this goes to prove I am not only handsome but smart as well! I have completed training classes through Stray Rescue to further build my confidence. My dream forever family has an avid walker to help me explore the world and patience to help me learn and grow. I am neutered, micro-chipped, and up to date with my vaccinations.
