My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Missy is one of those sweet, unspoiled pit bulls that could be an ambassador for the breed. She showed up at a school one day and was obviously a beloved pet at one time. She is well mannered and sweet, but quite sad being in "jail" when she clearly had a home at one time. We try to help her enjoy life with a carpet and periodic walks, but what she really needs is a real home. She is non-aggressive towards other dogs, but quite interested in cats. Although she is sweet as pie, we recommend she go to a home without small children based on her breed. This would be waived if clear loving experience with pit bulls can be demonstrated.

Missy tested positive for heartworms but isn't showing any symptoms yet. Please consider adopting her if you can afford to get her treated. We will also adopt Missy to a compassionate person who will help her live happily until the heartworms progress to where she should be humanely euthanized.
