My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nina is an approximately 8 month old female guinea pig. She is an American crested and is golden agouti and white in color. Nina is a very sweet girl – she does not mind being picked up or held whatsoever. Nina has had a very rough start in life and would love to find a home where she can be the pampered princess she deserves to be for the rest of her life. This little girl was made to have babies when she was only 4 months old and was then given up to the first person who would take her.

Nina is slightly special needs as she has a condition called ‘bumblefoot’ in her front right paw. What this means is that, at some point, Nina was either living on a wire-bottomed cage or was being kept on rough bedding, or (another possibility – although slight) was poked by a very rough piece of hay in the pad of her foot. While the swelling is now under control and the infection is gone, this could reoccur at any point in her life. This merely requires that she be kept on VERY soft bedding in her forever home (either fleece or bedding like CareFresh) and that she get a vet checkup from time to time.

The adoption fee for Nina is $25. All potential adopters are required to fill out an application prior to adoption, no exceptions.
