My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Scarlett and I am about 3 years old. I used to have a home that was supposed to be fur-ever, but there were different plans for my daddy. See, he was a soldier and, one day while he was at war, he was killed. A lot of people have told me he is a hero, but all I know is that I miss him. My grandma tried to take care of me but she is elderly and could not. I ended up in a kill shelter in Mesquite. I hadn’t been there very long when I was told that Alamo City was driving through an ice storm to save me! I got to stay in a nice hotel with a little boy and a tiny baby, both of whom I was very gentle around. I am looking for my fur-ever home, without dogs that are bigger than me. My fosters Great Danes scare me, so I act out a little. I don’t mean to, but they are HUGE! I wouldn’t even mind being your only dog, as I love cuddling and snoozing. I am potty trained, crate trained, spayed, up to date on shots, and micro-chipped. I need someone to help me be confident. A lot has changed in my life and I need to know that I am fur-ever home.
