Meet Grayson! Grayson is a fabulous boy with a very sad past. Fortunately, he does not hold his previous treatment against us all, he is very much a people loving dog!
Grayson was wandering on his own in rural MS, alone and afraid. So afraid, in fact, that he would not let anyone approach him. He had to be trapped to get him off the streets. But once he went in that trap, and we got him to the vet, it was obvious he was nothing more than a big ole baby in need of love. From day one he has been almost the perfect dog. He is now completely house and crate trained, and loves to please his people.
The sad part of Grayson's story became apparent when we got him to the vet, though. He had injuries to his mouth, one of his legs, and one of his feet.. After he was sedated for neuter and to further evaluate his injuries, our vet determined he had been SHOT in the mouth. His left lower lip was badly split, and several of his teeth were severely damaged. They removed the tooth fragments, cleaned him up, and he received an antibiotic shot and oral antibiotics. He has since recovered from all his injuries, and hasn't let his horrible past color his current attitude even ONE bit. He was also heart worm positive, but has completed treatment and now has a clean bill of health.
Grayson would be a fabulous addition to ANY family. He loves life, loves his people, and pretty much loves anything and everything he comes in contact with. We can't say enough good things about this boy <3
