Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gloria is a very special girl to Corridor Rescue. She was one of our very first rescued pups out of the Corridor of Cruelty and one of our first dogs to be adopted through our group. She was 2 years old at that time and after being in her adopted family for nearly 6 years, she's had to return to us because her human sibling was very allergic to her. She is a beautiful mix of Border Collie and Beagle. She was born in 2006 and weighs 47 pounds. Her new foster mom has said that Gloria was the most adoptable dog she has ever met. We know that she's a wonderful lady and hope that another family will allow this sweetie to be in their pack forever. Gloria is great with other dogs and children. She's lived with them and been around them her whole life. She still loves to play with her toys, chases them and then chews on them too. She's not one for fetch, but she loves to chase everything. It is so cute to watch her curiously chase things that move in the yard, even fluttering leaves and little bugs. She knows sit, stay and come and is very well-mannered. Gloria is a watcher too. She loves to lie in front of the window and watch what's going on in the world. She alerts her family if someone is at the door. She'd really love to have her bed under a window in her new house so she can continue her watch and continue protecting her family. This girl loves to take walks and gets really excited every time you fetch her leash from the cabinet. She walks very well on her leash and occasionally gets excited and wants to pull you to something to check it out. That is the Beagle coming out in her. She loves to explore in her yard, on walks and at the dog park. She may be a little bit older, but she's still got spunk and she's a great, loyal companion. Attention and love are always accepted by Miss Gloria, but she's not pushy about it. She really enjoys getting loved on, but she isn't overly cuddly or a lap dog. She is a very mellow and adaptable girl and will adjust quickly into her new family. If you are looking for the most adoptable dog ever, then consider giving Gloria a forever home. Gloria currently lives in Houston, Texas and is on the network for Portland because we have amazing volunteers who live here to help coordinate successful out-of-state adoptions. Corridor Rescue has the very fortunate ability to transport dogs to other states via the United Airlines PetSafe program. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $150. The transport cost is $225, which includes the airline flight, a new pet travel kennel that you can keep upon arrival and the required health documents from the veterinarian. The grand total for adopting this pet including adoption fee and airline/transportation fee to the Portland airport is $375. If you would like to adopt Gloria, please fill out an adoption application at www.corridorrescue.org under the More Information tab. Please contact us at corridorrescueadopt@gmail.com with any questions. Thank you!
