Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Well, hello hello! My name is Bourbon and I am a BIG goofball. Really, I'm a big boy of about 90 pounds, but I'm on a diet with a goal weight of 75 or 80 pounds. My mix is a bit of a mystery, but I'm just a great dog all around. Because of my size, I walk around with my chest puffed up as if I'm the big man on campus, but I get along well with all my dog friends and LOVE all my humans. I'm about 8 years old, but I'm still quite full of life and a touch of spunk. I'll make a great and loyal companion for my next owner. I was a stray many years ago and was fortunate enough to cross paths with a nice Corridor volunteer that literally saved my life. I was in terrible condition, bald and sickly. I healed up nicely with some love, attention and medicine. I was quickly snapped up by my loving owner and her dog and we made a fine trio. Recently our Mom passed away and my extended family couldn't take us in, so Corridor Rescue stepped in again to take care of us. I am currently in boarding, but I'm an easy going, big bubba that loves life, so I'm just pretending this is a vacation until I meet my new family. The best way to describe my personality is silly, carefree and bouncy. I like to trot around the play yard showing off my goofy grin and floppy tongue. I've been told that I'm pretty entertaining, even though I'm not really trying. This is just who I am...and apparently I am funny! I'm affectionate too and if there's room on the couch, I'd love to join you up there. I love a good back scratch and will give kisses to anyone that asks for those. Although I'm a larger kiddo, I will adapt to whatever living area you have as long as there is a little yard for me. I don't need a huge space because I'm not a fast moving fella; just need enough room to enjoy the outdoors and play with my friends. I'm healthy, neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. I've lived as a stray, I've lived as a pet and I know which life I want to continue. Please consider adopting me and having a big, happy bubba in your life every single day. Bourbon currently lives in Houston, Texas and is on the network for Seattle because we have amazing volunteers who live here to help coordinate successful out-of-state adoptions. Corridor Rescue has the very fortunate ability to transport dogs to other states via the United Airlines PetSafe program. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $150. The transport cost is $225, which includes the airline flight, a new pet travel kennel that you can keep upon arrival and the required health documents from the veterinarian. The grand total for adopting this pet including adoption fee and airline/transportation fee to the Seattle airport is $375. If you would like to adopt Bourbon, please fill out an adoption application at www.corridorrescue.org under the More Information tab. Please contact us at corridorrescueadopt@gmail.com with any questions. Thank you!
